Sustain Mizzou Compost & Gardening

Project Leader: Zoë Westhoff

VP of Projects: Lydia Reed

Started in early 2020, Sustain Mizzou is focusing on bringing composting back to campus and making it accessible to all students and the local community. As there is currently no public drop off for compost in Columbia, we hope to address this issue. We will work to create composting locations across campus and eventually move up to returning composting to the dining halls and integrating it into the residence halls.

Sustain Mizzou also hopes to bring gardening knowledge to our students. We want everyone to have the tools to grow their own sustainable food sources. After COVID, we will be reserving a spot at a local community garden to help spur others into doing the same.
